Training Contract Vacancies Announced at Government Legal Service

The Government Legal Service has recently announced that it has been given permission to continue with its trainee solicitor recruitment programme.

There will be a short window for applications between 1 July and 30 July and they will be taking on between 20 and 30 people across 8 government departments.  These positions will be split between training contracts and pupillages.

Training Contract Vacancy, Isle of Man

Isle of Man firm, Stuart Smalley & Co, are advertising a vacancy for a trainee solicitor to commence in September 2011.  They are also accepting applications for September 2012 starters.

Paralegal Vacancy and Possible Training Contract, Bury

AGI Solicitors in Bury have a vacancy for an experienced paralegal which may lead to a training contract with the firm subject to performance.

The firm has this to say about the position:

“Experience of Claimant RTA work with particular emphasis on credit hire and storage claims essential. Must be able to deal with own caseload. Applicants will demonstrate ability to exploit existing contacts within the field and to assist in developing the department.

Training Contract Vacancy for College of Law Students & Graduates

A slightly unusual training contract vacancy has been announced by the College of Law in Bloomsbury.  The vacancy is only open to College of Law students and graduates and is for a training contract in legal aid work.  Work will be split between the College of Law’s legal advice centre at the London Bloomsbury Centre and Hodge Jones & Allen LLP solicitors in North London.

The closing date for applications is 30 June 2010.
